Out of all the steps to good writing, the easiest one for me would be showing dedication towards my writing. As a journalist I believe that being passionate about your writing really shows and gains the attention of others. When I write, I really try to be passionate about my topic. I realize many other people will be reading what I write and I would really like for them to be engaged and be interested as they read along.  I care about what I write as much as I would appreciate others to care about what they read.

The step I consider to be the hardest for me would be editing my writing, or in other words keeping it simple. I have a tendency to over analyze my writing and I keep adding more and more things as I re-read. Usually this isn't a good thing because I end up writing too much and making it confusing. I tend to go off tangent and write about something completely off topic. This is a continuous habit for me that I would love to break!

Some steps that would work well for me to fix this, is having someone else read what I write. I think that having someone else read it out loud can help me receive constructive criticism. This way I can really point out things that I can edit out or re-arrange. I also think that this class will help me improve where I am weak, so I am really looking forward to it as well.

Entertainment

As an entertainment enthusiast, I believe that writing about what fascinates me could help me share certain ideas and personal opinions. I acknowledge entertainment to be a big part of my life, considering I spend most of my money on concerts, movies, and practically spend most hours of the day following celebrities on twitter, instagram, and facebook. I like to keep up with the latest news on concert dates, album releases, celebrity gossip, tv shows, and movie ratings.

My favorite part of the entertainment world would most definitely be found in the music industry. I come to find a big part of my interest for entertainment through music. I would update anyone who is interested of upcoming events to their nearest area, concert updates, line ups, and much more. One of the things I would like to discuss would be the come back of today's popular alternative band: Fall Out Boy.

1.) Fall Out Boy reunites after 3 years, and announces their upcoming world tour for 2013. New album releasing April 16th, 2013.
   
       Pros:

• I would attend the concert and write about the experience, making it easier for those who are interested to attend or save their money.
• Purchasing and listening to the album will help me write personal opinions and reviews.

      Cons:

• Many other reviews will be made 
• It would be difficult to outweigh the dedicated fan base's opinion

I also really enjoy watching movies and  read what people have to say about them. I am a big believer in movie reviews, as soon as I hear someone speak really passionately over their opinion, I'm almost automatically won over. Watching movies and being a movie critic would be a very fun and interesting thing to do. I could inform many of the things they most anticipate or help them save their time.

2. ) Most anticipated movies of the year

       Pros:

• I could go watch movies and later critiquing and rating them with strong feedback
• I could be saving some people money and time with my personal opinions

       Cons:

• I need to make time to watch these movies
• Competing with many other reviews and personal opinions on what a "good" movie really is
• Saving money, and keeping up with movie releases
